The ‘I’m Time Poor’ Green Smoothie Bowl

I'm Kate!

I'm an Australian-based creative, Model and Branding Coach with big dreams of helping aspiring Models make their way into the industry and thrive. I'm obsessed with: integrity, authenticity, a tidy home, smashed avocado, and being the person I needed when I was younger.

PSA: I don't take myself too seriously, though I do take my work seriously.

I often hear, and also say to myself, “I don’t even have time to scratch myself.” Between family, home commitments and work, the day is over in the blink of an eye. That is why it’s often easy to get stuck in the cycle of eating what’s around vs eating healthy. Have you considered a smoothie bowl?

Where I would usually whip up a blended green smoothie, for this recipe you can skip the straw and grab a spoon, this is the ultimate smoothie bowl!

The green smoothie bowl makes the perfect breakfast, lunch, or post workout snack (if you’re that way inclined)! Combining fruit and vegetables, you can customise this green smoothie bowl to your hearts content for a delicious and healthy treat, any time of day. Get out your NutriBullet blender and enjoy this treat now:

Produce

To make your own green smoothie bowl you’ll need the following:

1/4 cup Kefir

1 cup Baby Spinach (fresh)

1 + 1/2 Banana (ripe)

1 Kiwi Fruit

1/4 cup Mango (frozen)

1/4 cup Pineapples, frozen

Honey to taste (if you need)

Toppings: chia seeds, shredded coconut

Method

+ Using your blender (for MANY years I had a NutriBullet for minimalist fuss, mess, ease of blitzing and cleaning. My bench baby is now a SMEG Blender) combine and blend kefir, spinach, 1 banana, mango & pineapple. Pour into a bowl.

+ Chop 1/2 banana and 1 kiwi fruit, add on top

+ Sprinkle chia seeds and shredded coconut on top

+ Enjoy!

+ Have with a glass of water for ultimate hydration

My Minimalist Tips

+ Shortlist of stores | Have a short list of ‘go-to’ shops to buy groceries. This shortens your daily/weekly errand runs, meaning less time away from doing the things you love. My go-to places to shop for groceries are Woolworths & Harris Farm Markets.

+ Use a list, keep it current | I use Trello to keep organised. It’s a FREE app, and is made purely for organising your work, life and everything in between. I started using it in 2017, and have since adopted it for my home life. Trello is where I keep my shopping list; when I’m connected to the Internet its current/live at all times so I can check things off (saving on unnecessary double-up purchases).
