Educator. Designer. Model. Minimalist
+ your new BFF in the Creative Industry!

hey there, I'm Kate

I would promise her that one day she will be the person she always dreamed of being, and to get there, making mistakes, struggling, failing and tears are all essential parts of the journey to grow.

Be kind to past versions of yourself that didn’t know the things you know now.

Future you will be so proud you always found the strength and you never gave up.

If I could go back in time, I would relish at the opportunity to give me the hug I so desperately needed. I would tell her that everything is going to be ok. You don’t have to "have it all figured out by 18, 21 or 30." You’re not ‘too sensitive’.

Find your voice; stand up to those bullies. The abuse stops when you assert boundaries. It’s ok to cut people out of your life who make you feel like sh*t.

My story really began the moment
I finally said: I am enough.

Early days

It’s taken discipline, grit, resilience and resourcefulness to get me to today, though I am overjoyed to have built and established my personal brand where
I can now share the knowledge I’ve gained through all facets of my life;  most importantly through trial and error.

Age is just a number. Whether it’s industry insights, minimalist style and living, modelling, motherhood or mindfulness, my aim is to motivate and inspire young people to create (or re-create) themselves and take charge
of their life.

My business, The Model Masterclass, was born!

Then I hit this really Pivotal moment. I found my 'why.' to be the role model i needed when i was younger.

My Goal

Lucky I didn't listen.

My business skills, and patience, worked their magic over time. My ‘signature smile’ and strong work ethic has since landed me campaigns and project leads with BrasNThings, David Jones, Rebel Sport, Ben Sherman, Underwear of Sweden, Zoggs, St Frock and more!

I’ve also been photographed and interviewed for covers and lifestyle features in Vogue Australia, Girlfriend Magazine, Cosmopolitan Brides, NZ Woman’s Weekly and WHITE Magazine to name a few.

I was often surrounded by family & friends who told me I’d never make anything of it.

I made a decision to try something new.  I thought - if not now, when? After graduating from University my career path expanded to the Model world. It was another creative outlet for me, a steep learning curve, and the first step I had taken towards re-building my confidence and self-esteem.

That was the exact moment it all changed for me. When I started owning my own story...

Model Journey

I have always been passionate about tackling self esteem and body confidence issues amongst today’s youth. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined representing my home country on the world  stage in 2014 as ‘Mrs Australia’ with this message. It was a humbling experience to make history as the first Australian to place in the Top 5 on the
Mrs International world stage in Florida, USA – and also bring home ‘Best Evening Wear’ and ‘Most Photogenic.’

Forever a member of the global ‘Sisters of the Sash’ Alumni, I have remained a mentor and VIP Judge for numerous Miss Teen, Miss, Ms, Mrs, and LGBTQ pageants. Paying homage to my once insecure teen self and helping others find their “why” has always been very rewarding work.

A winner isn’t chosen from a group of representatives. A representative is chosen from a group of winners.

I'm ALL ABOUT

Today I bring my skill set to being a branding coach + social media strategist and consultant to Australia’s leading aviation-minded youth organisation. I’m proud to be part of a unique and passionate group of Instructors that inspire Australian teenagers to work towards their goals.

“Because of you I didn’t give up” is why I love doing what I do.

My wardrobe looks like it’s ready for an inspection, boot camp style, and I still make my bed each day with hospital corners. Not even sorry.

anything the boys can do, i can do too.

I joined the Air Force Cadets as a shy, bright-eyed 13-year-old and never looked back. I went on to learn drill + ceremonial, field craft and survival skills, how to shoot, fly a glider,  drive a truck, all whilst making life-long friends across the  country.

Role Model

Saving my hard earned cash and travelling has seen me touch down in all corners of this wonderful world we live in for both work and pleasure.
My greatest travel adventures are those off the beaten track.

Home-staying on Lake Titicaca and trekking the Inka Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru; scuba diving in Rachai Yai from a makeshift live-a-board in Thailand; stand up paddle boarding in Bora Bora; indulging in the culture and cuisine in the backstreets of Paris, Rome; and getting lost in Turkey are home to some of my favourite memories.

Outside of my comfort zone is where the magic happens! I feel in my element trying something different.

Answers to Little Babes and Babylicious. Loves endless cuddles. Thinks she's Blue from Jurassic Park. Will eat food out of your mouth. Nobody puts her bunny in a corner.

While I’ve been on a mission to teach her all about life, Penelope has been teaching me what life is all about.

I feel forever grateful Penelope chose me to be her mother. Through being let down in my romantic relationships, miscarriages, breaking cycles of generational trauma, and remaining forever hopeful to finding lasting love, the stars aligned just as they were meant to.

Mother.
A title just above Queen.
